Fraser Gays respects the privacy of its visitors. No personal information is collected unless authorised by the visitor. Information is collected for the following purposes:
1. Subscriptions to Updates
Email addresses supplied by the visitor are stored on the Fraser Gays server for the purpose of emailing period updates. Visitors can choose not to receive further updates by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in an update email. Details may be downloaded to the webmaster's computer to facilitate the emailing process.
2. Contact Us page
Name and email address are supplied on the Contact Us page and are used to send an email to the webmaster. Details are not stored on the Fraser Gay server, but may remain on the webmaster's computer for an indefinite period.
3. Donations
If you choose to make a donation towards the monthly cost of hosting the Fraser Gays website, you will be taken to Paypal's secure payment system where you will be prompted to either log in to your Paypal© account or provide personal details including credit card number.
Your name and address may be provided to the Fraser Gays webmaster as part of this transaction. Credit card numbers are not provided to the Fraser Gays webmaster and are used only by Paypal© for the purpose of completing the transaction.
No other personally identifiable information is collected by Fraser Gays.
Integration with Facebook©
Visitors have the option to "Connect with Facebook©" to allow the Fraser Gays website to retrieve information accessible by the visitor on Facebook© and display it within pages on Fraser Gays. This integration is to provide maximum social interaction for visitors.
The information includes (but is not limited to) names and profile photos of the visitor, visitor's friends and "fans" of the official Fraser Gays page on Facebook© - and other publicly accessible photos (e.g. of events) - plus details of publicly accessible events.
No personal details retrieved from Facebook© are stored on the Fraser Gays server.
In fact, more technically speaking, the Fraser Gays server sends a "shell" of the page with instructions for the visitor's computer to retrieve the details directly from Facebook© and display them within the page. The information is not actually retrieved by the Fraser Gays server.
When visitors choose to submit photo albums or events, the unique identifer for the album/event is stored on the Fraser Gays server to allow for the retrieval of the photos/details. A link to the profile of the person submitting the album/event is emailed to the webmaster for the purpose of making contact if necessary. If a submitted event is to become a Featured Event (i.e. it appears on the Home Page), the webmaster will retrieve information from the event for storage on the Fraser Gays server to allow the details to be displayed on the Home Page without the need for visitors to Connect to Facebook©.
If you have any questions or concerns about your privacy or the information on Fraser Gays, please contact the webmaster.
