YOUTH meeting - Toast Espresso Bar - 16 May

The next youth meeting will be at Toast Espresso Bar in Maryborough at 6pm on Friday 16 May.

The catch ups are goin really well and we would like to see more new faces. So if you are free to make it and you fit in our age bracket (15-25) come along. The more the merrier!

YOUTH events are for people aged 15 to 25.

Progressive Dinner - 24 May - Hervey Bay

On the 24th of May there will be a Progressive Dinner in Hervey Bay in the homes of friends. Bring a entree, main meal and a dessert with you - plus BYO drinks.

People who wish to attend will be given the addresses on the day by phone. You will also be given a code so that "security" will let you in at each address. Those who do not have a code will not be able to attend! When you arrive, we ask that you be respectful of people's homes and their neighbours.

BBQ/Picnic - Sunday 1 June - 12 Noon - Maryborough

Come along to a BBQ/Picnic get-together for members, family and friends of the Fraser Gays community.

This BBQ/Picnic is being held from 12 Noon at Ululah Park - Cheapside Street entrance.

The Fraser Gays BBQ's are a great opportunity to get to know people outside of the nightclub environment, to hang out without having to yell over the loud music and to bring kids along.

Just bring food, drinks, something to sit on, sunscreen, etc.

BBQ/Picnics are held on the first Saturday/Sunday each month and generally alternate between venues at Hervey Bay and Maryborough. Check the BBQ/Picnics page for dates of future events.

Annual Pub Crawl - 8 June - Maryborough

It's on again! The Maryborough Annual Pub Crawl is on Sunday the 8th of June. We are looking to put together a group to have a fun day so if you and your friends want to come along and join us, contact Robyn and Sally at mrsraw@aapt.net.au by 30 May. Last year we had 20 and we had a great day out. We would like to repeat it again.

Get Involved in Groundbreaking Theatre in 2008

Fringe Benefits is an American theatre company based in Los Angeles. They are coming to Bundaberg to work with around 40 LGBT youth and older members of the community, with their gay allies, to create a 30 minute theatre piece. The process is supported by the Playhouse, The Media Research Group at Central Queensland University, the Q Clinic Wide Bay Sexual Health, Bundaberg Community Development and Snapping Duck! Creatives.

The aim of the process will be to create a play that promotes respect for and understanding of the complexity of sexual orientation and to combat prejudice, bullying and cruelty towards LGBT youth.

WE NEED YOU TO TELL YOUR STORY
The workshops will be: Saturday June 28, 2-6pm; Tuesday July 1, 6-10pm; Thursday July 3, 6-10pm; Sunday July 6, 2-6pm and Tuesday July 8, 6-10pm. The cast will then be finalised and a creative group will fine tune it for performance and travel it over a four week period across the region. If you can’t be there please send me your story!

Dance Till You Drop - Underage Dance Parties

Dance Till You Drop Underage Dance Parties provide a fun and safe environment for kids and teens. These fully-supervised events are held on the third Friday each month in Maryborough and at Hervey Bay on dates to be advised. (Keep an eye on the website.).
